We've read it.  Is it possible?

Chemical Free Home
With effort and the right choices it is possible to make some serious headway with the reduction of toxins and chemicals in your home. I, the owner of Maggic Cleaning Service read the book in around 2000 and took it upon myself to bring about changes to the home which would create a chemical free environment for my family and home. Having spent several year in action making soap and using bicarbonate soda, vinegar and various types of oils throughout the home I began to realise we didn't quite look the same as other people.

To be blunt our whites weren't white anymore. So the laundry became a problem into which entered the classic whitener brightener type laundry pre-soaker so we could look normal again. The scent of vinegar could no longer be tolerated and the oils started to come into play. The cleaning products I use in my home today remain fairly similar however trying to take a chemical free approach and put it into a business plan. Good luck! The general public will have you hung, drawn and quartered if you mention bicarbonate of soda again!

All jokes aside, a reduction of chemicals in the home is not being done enough and it is possible to have a very reduced chemical content in your home without discomforting yourself. There are some tricks, which we will talk about in future blogs.

"Why even start?", you might ask. Start because you have lost your sense of taste, smell and sight to the current harsh chemical content in your home. Your senses are all effected by the chemicals you use in your home and to be honest some of those chemical are so harsh that they wouldn't be used commercially at all! Your home should be your sanctuary and yet you are brave enough to bring into it the harshest chemicals to be used incorrectly and even overused; and you probably have children.

With small and gradual changes to your choices, based on your family 'srequirement for a healthy lifestyle with less disease and longevity, I think you will find that you can improve your sense of smell, taste and reduce your loss of sight. It's about that old adage of one step at a time, make it a habit and then create another habit to add to the other one.
